My journey as Linux Systems Engineer
Hi there! I’m a Linux Systems Engineer with over 8 years of experience in managing, supporting, and designing robust and scalable IT infrastructures. Over the years, I have worked in mission-critical environments where high availability, performance, and security are essential.
As a Linux Systems Engineer, my core responsibilities have included the configuration and administration of servers, proactive monitoring, automation of repetitive tasks, and ensuring system reliability at scale.
Linux Systems Engineer – Technical Expertise
My experience includes managing Linux distributions such as Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux, and CentOS, as well as Windows Server environments with Active Directory. I specialize in database optimization using Percona MySQL (with the RocksDB engine and multimaster clusters) and PostgreSQL.
Some of the technologies I work with include:
- OpenSearch and ElasticSearch for log analysis and system monitoring
- Kafka and Kafka Connect in event-driven architectures
- HAProxy for load balancing web applications like Nginx or Apache and MySQL
- Oracle ACME Packet and FreeSwitch for enterprise-grade VoIP infrastructure
Virtualization and Automation
In the virtualization space, I’ve worked extensively with VMware, Nutanix, and OpenStack, creating flexible and scalable virtual environments.
For automation and configuration management, I use Ansible. I also work extensively with Docker and Portainer for containerization. On the scripting and development side, I’m proficient in Bash, Python, PHP, Node.js, and frameworks like Angular and Symfony.
Monitoring and Intelligent Integrations
Monitoring is a key part of my work. I use Zabbix for proactive system visibility and alerting.
Currently, I’m working on projects that integrate FastAPI, Zabbix, and Telegram, applying AI models from Hugging Face to create intelligent alerting systems that evolve with time and data.
Additional Contributions
Beyond my core technical work, I am deeply committed to knowledge sharing and team development. I create documentation, training resources, and interactive activities—such as Kahoots—to make Linux and systems administration more accessible and engaging.
As a Linux Systems Engineer, my mindset focuses on continuous improvement and delivering well-documented, sustainable solutions aligned with business needs. I strongly believe in balancing technical excellence with clear communication and long-term scalability.
